CONFIREL supported by GIZ to obtain ISO 9001:2015 certification

Publish date: 04 November 2021 / Food

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is a non-governmental organization whose role is to facilitate the international coordination and standardization of industry standards. These standards contribute to the development, manufacturing, and delivery of more efficient, safer, and clearer products and services. ISO has revised the world’s leading quality management system (QMS), ISO 9001:2008 to ISO 9001:2015, which specifies the requirements for planning, establishing, implementing, operating, monitoring, reviewing, maintaining, and continually improving a documented management system used to manage quality.

In order to improve the quality management system, Confirel received support from the German cooperation Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) to apply for the ISO 9001:2015 certificate. At the same time, Confirel’s staff was trained on this new standard and the training was completed in December 2020. Currently, Confirel is improving the documentation system for the internal audit at the end of 2021 and apply for this new certification in early 2022.

With ISO 9001:2015, Confirel can identify risks and opportunities, prevent problems from recurring, boost marketing and sales efforts, improve employee performance, and improve corporate control.
